REZZ LED Glasses for VRChat
USE CODE "REZZIES" TO GET 30% OFF
Release your inner RGB with these animated LED Glasses heavily inspired by the ones used by the EDM music artist "REZZ".
As close to a direct recreation as reasonably possible to REZZs own 3d printed prop glasses with and a properly seamless looping animation (unlike the ones featured in the official 3d animated music videos).
Each ring/row of LEDs is individually animated using the shader to allow for customization of each.
Utilizes only ONE material and includes a culled lower poly version for public functions and the full original poly version, both with a phys bone to allow grab positioning in game.
3,392 polys on the low poly (LP) model.
19,916 polys on the original (OG) model.
Adjustable width and length blend shape keys just in case it does not quite fit your avatar.
Purchase includes the following:
- Unitypackage file which includes the following
- Preconfigured material set up in Poiyomi Toon Shader
- 2 Prefabs for both LP and OG version with VRC Phys Bones pre-set up
- Textures and FBX
- .PSD file to make custom mask patterns for the LED rings
Requirements:
- Poiyomi Toon Shader (this is required for the animation. Likely possible with other shaders)
- VRC Avatar SDK3
FAQ:
- How does the animation work?
- It utilizes 3 panning emission UV masks (~3.5kb file each. They're tiny don't worry) within the Poiyomi shader. Each Emission layer has its own row of LEDs to use which allows each of the LED rings/rows to be individually customized.
- Each LED is laid out in its own row on the UV. Each UV island is scaled down significantly which makes the LEDs look like they instantly turn on when the emission is scrolled over.
- Do I need to you Poiyomi?
- Yes (kinda?). Because the animated LEDs use a panning/scrolling texture, in theory any shader that supports something similar should work. There are dozens of ways to do things similar
- Why?
- A friend asked if I could make something for them. I said "lmao gimme 5 minutes". I then proceeded to obsessively look at every available photo, look at datasheets for LEDs, and everything in between and tried to as accurately remake them as I reasonably could.
- How do I customise the LEDs?
- To change the patterns for the LEDs, simply tweak the "Emission Mask" settings in the Poiyomi material or directly modify the emission mask texture itself (Included .PSD file)
Tremendous thank you to Novatosh for the support and work on the shader and Sai'Raks for the support too.
